Jaipur: Jaipur celebrated World Environment Day on June 5 by taking out a rally on the roads of Pink City.
The procession is organized by the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board and the Forest Department of the state, with motto of raising awareness about the environment conservation. People of all age group and sections of society can participate in the event by completing the registration process.
For registrations, participants were required to complete the registration process at Kulashish Smriti Van situated on JLN Marg. The registrations were open from 3rd to 4th of June at timings- 6 to 10 in the morning and 5 to 7 in the evening.
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot flagged off the rally at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, which then taking the loop around Narain Singh Circle, Trimurti Circle, Gandhi Circle, Gandhi Nagar Turn, and Tonk Road reached SMS stadium in the end.
