Jaipur: Owing to the expiration of the codal life cycle, Palace on Wheels was going to be put to disuse this tourist season and in its place Royal Rajasthan on Wheels was going to take its place with the same brand name.
However a new proposal has been put to create a new economical itinerary for Palace on Wheels that may run under the name Heritage Palace on Wheels. The two proposed circuits for the new brand of Palace on Wheels includes the Frescoed havelis of the Shekhawati region and a golden triangle with wildlife sanctuaries in it.
Both of the circuits are going to include places like Bikaner, Keoladeo National Park, Tal Chappar Bird Sanctuary and Shekhawati region. Prior to this no Royal Heritage train has taken up these itineraries. The suggested names of the circuits are “Shekhawati Desert and wildlife tour” and “Golden triangle with Bird Sanctuary”.
In this regards, General Manager of the two luxury trains Rajasthan Royal on Wheels and Palace on Wheels Pradeep Bohra has stated that the proposed tariff for the new train could range from 202 to 25 US dollars and the revenue sharing model between RTDC and Railways is yet to be decided.
