Jaipur: The Union urban development minister Venkaiah Naidu launched a scheme to make villages in Rajasthan open-defecation free under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna.
The scheme was launched by the minister in the presence of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, State transport minister Yunus Khan and housing and urban development and housing minister Srichand Kriplani, in Titarwasa village of Jhalawar district.
While launching the scheme Naidu also commented on agricultural sector of the state, saying that the NDA government is adopting some measures to promote agricultural sectors in Rajasthan so that their declining contributions in GDP can be mended.
On the occasion, CM Vasundhara Raje also brought new improvements in the Mukhyamantri Swachh Gram Yojna. She announced that select gram panchayats, under the yojana, will have advanced garbage collection schemes under which trash will be collected from door to door.
