In an unexpected move, senior Congress pioneer Tom Vadakkan on Thursday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, blaming the Congress for scrutinizing the respectability of military. "In the event that some ideological group that takes a situation against the nation, at that point I don't have an alternative yet to leave that party… This isn't right," he stated, refering to the Congress' position on the Balakot air strike against dread gathering Jaish-e-Mohammed camp in Pakistan that pursued the Pulwama suicide bombarding. "I have faith in the Prime Minister's improvement," the previous Congress representative stated, focusing on that he was thankful to BJP president Amit Shah "who has confided in me and acknowledged my enrollment to the gathering".
