1.Witness the majestic beauty of Junagarh Fort

The city of Bikaner is a sight to behold owing to the presence of ancient forts and palaces depicting marvelous forms of architecture. The Junagarh Fort is one such humungous place containing 37 bastions. The entrance of the fort is called Suraj Pole and as you step inside you would see several palaces like Chandra Mahal, Phool Mahal, Karan Mahal, and Anoop Mahal.

There are courtyards, balconies, jharokhas, kiosks and much more. Besides, the palaces inside the fort also showcase some beautiful artifacts in the form of paintings and mirror work.

2. Visit the Unique Karni Mata Temple

Karni Mara temple is a unique religious site located at Deshnoke, 30 kms away from Bikaner. The temple is filled with rats, which is quite an astonishing fact. There are different stories about the rats but the temple is quite popular among the tourists.

Some believe that Yama, the God of Death, resurrected Karni Mata’s stepson and all her descendants as rats. However, another tale suggests that it was an army of 20,000 men who left the battlefield and returned to Deshnoke after which Karni Mata turned them into rats as a punishment.
