King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk of Bhutan has returned to India on a four-day tour with Empress Jetsun Pema Wangchuk along with crown prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck. Even before that he has come to India. During that time, they reached Rajasthan also to roam. During the Jaipur tour, he also met Sawai Madhopur legislator Rajkumari Diya Kumari's family. Apart from this, they also reached Udaipur.
Bhutan King Wangchuk and Empress Jetson Pema Wangchuk married on 11 October 2011. Both came to India after the marriage on a nine-day visit from 23 October 2011. These couples reached Rajasthan from a special train on the lines of the Palace on Wheels. It was being said that the royal couple came to Rajasthan for their honeymoon. During this, the royal couple went to see the fort and palace of Jaipur. They also met royal families of Rajasthan.
Namgyel is no stranger to Rajasthan as he travelled to Ranthambore in October 2010 and was mesmerised by the nature and wildlife there.
One of the highlights of the couple’s visit was their trip to Rajasthan cities Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur.
