Jaipur: A job fair for oversees placement is soon going to be organized in the Jhunjhunu district of the state.
The fair is being organized by the overseas placement bureau under the administration of Rajasthan Skill and Livelihood Development Corporation (RSLDC). The main focus of the event would be to support and train semi-skilled and unskilled manpower of the region for their aspired jobs in the Middle East countries.
These particulars of the fair were decided on the basis of the released data that clearly portrays potential job seekers of the area and their interest in those counties. As per the information provided by the ministry of external affairs, 48,129 workers of Rajasthani origin went overseas in 2014, around 46,000 in 2015 and over 35,172 in 2016; and most of these people are currently working in the Middle East counties like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Malaysia and Bahrain.
Krishna Kunal, commissioner (skills, employment and entrepreneurship) and ……, said, "State has a vast reservoir of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled manpower. As a large number of this workforce goes abroad for work, it becomes imperative for us to provide them proper counseling and orientation, keeping in view the needs of the market along with the enhancement of their functional capability.", as reported by TOI.
A special cell named Rajasthan Pravasi Sharmik Kalyan Prakosth (RPSKP) was also formed by the RSLDC in order to protect the interests of workforce going abroad.
Providing pre-visa training to workers, giving them information about the laws and cultural sensibilities of the employer country and sharpening the skills set of potential workers are few of the many responsibilities, the cell is going to address to facilitate the workforce going overseas. However, the most critical role of the cell is to care for these employees and workers in case of crisis that may arise in the countries where they are headed.
