But we still have a ray of hope as farmers like Jagdish Prasad Pareek. Jagdish Prasad swears by organic ways for vegetable and fruit production. He is known as "Gobhi Man" of Rajasthan.
On Monday, 11 March 2019, Jagdish Prasad Pareek, who hails from Sikar's Ajitgarh, received the Padma Shri for dedicating himself to organic farming, animal husbandry, and rainwater harvesting. Indian President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the Padma Awards to the recipients on March 11, 2019, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and Pareek was one of them.
