Rajasthan State is also known as the ‘dwelling place of the gods’. Out of the many temples in Rajasthan, the Mehandipur Balaji Temple is one of the most popular and noted Hindu Temple, situated in Dausa district. This beautiful temple is dedicated to the childhood form of Lord Hanuman. Lord Hanuman is popularly known as "Sankatmochak" which means trouble fighter. The temple is located quite near to the Bandikui Railway Station, which is at a distance of 99 km from Jaipur and 40 km away from Karauli. Also, just at a distance of 3 km from the temple comes the Jaipur-Agra National Highway.
The regular activities performed at the temple include performing religious rituals, helping the disabled and destitute, giving charity, feeding stray animals and cattle, supplying water to needy etc. Lord Hanuman is considered to be one of the most courageous among all the deity. Most of the people visit this place to be blessed by the deity with the courage to fight evil and troubles. Tuesdays and Saturdays are considered to be the day of the Lord on which he is worshipped in extraordinary ways. Hanuman Jayanti, Holi and Dusshera are the popularly celebrated festivals in Dausa.

Some important temples to visit beside the Balaji Temple are Kali Mata Temple at teen pahad, Panchmukhi Hanuman Ji and Ganesh Ji Temple at saat pahad, Samadhi Wale Baba (first mahant) and Anjani Mata Temple (Mother of Lord Hanuman).
