Matsya festival started with Maha Aarti at Jagannath temple

Rajasthan's Alwar district witnessed the inauguration of Matsya Festival 2017 on Saturday. At 5:30 today morning, a Maha Aarti was peformed at Jagannath Temple, situated at Subhash Chowk which commenced the three-day celebration of Matsya Utsav.

Various cutural events, processions, and different competitions will be organized on all the 3 days of the festivities. Cultural programs will be organized at Sariska Gate. Exhibition will also be organized during the festive celebration. Along with this tourists will also be traveling from Sariska to Kankawadi Fort.

Schedule of the festivities of the Matsya Festival 2017 are as follows:

25th November

• At 5:30 AM, commencement of the Festival through Maha aarti at the Jagannath Temple
• At 7 AM, Hertiage Walk to Hope Circus, Tripolia, Jagannath Temple, Bhartrihari Temple, Mahal Chowk and Kishan Kund
• At 9 AM, Open Air Photo Exhibition at Moosi Maharani ki Chhatri
• From 10 AM to 2:30 PM, cultural events at the Sariska Gate, performance by folk artists
• From 10 AM to 5 PM, Hot Air Balloon Adventure, Kabaddi, Kho Kho and Tug of War Competitions
• At 11 AM, Mehndi and Rangoli competition
• At 7 PM, Poet Convention at Mahal Chowk

26th November

• From 7 PM to 2 PM, Sightseeing of Kankwadi Fort at Sariska by Forest Department
• At 10 AM, Paddle Race Competition and Cultural Program by folk artists at Siliseth
• From 10 AM to 5 PM, Hot Air Balloon Adventure, Kabaddi, Kho Kho and Tug of War Competitions
• At 3 PM, Shobhayatra (Procession) from Old Information Center
• At 6 PM, Lamp Donation Programme at Sagar
• At 7 PM, Cultural Programme at Mahal Chowk

27th November

• At 7 AM, Trekking from Sagar to Bala Qila
• At 10 AM, Painting competition in Fatehganj dome
• At 7 AM, with the performance by Sufi singer Lakhwinder Wadali at Mahal Chowk, concludes the Matsya Festival 2017.
