The 'Makrana' stone is found in Makrana tehsil of Nagaur district of Rajasthan. The 'Makrana' stone is mined in different hills of the Aravali ranges, located here, such as Dungri, Devi, Ulodi, Sabwali, Mountain Kua etc. It is believed that the mine at Mountain Kua is the place from where stones were extracted to make the Taj Mahal.
