Udaipur: Minister of State of External Affairs General Vijay Kumar Singh inaugurated divisional Passport Service Center in Udaipur on Friday, June 2nd.
The center is named as Maharana Pratap PSLK or Passport Seva Laghu Kendra after the great warrior of the land. It is the first divisional passport office to open in the district and the fourth in the state. The center is opened in the Maharana Pratap Bhawan situated at Subhash Nagar. Now, the center will accept 100 passport applications per day and if the applications begin to grow in numbers, growth in the number of staff shall follow.
On the occasion of the inauguration, MPs Arjun Lal Meena, CP Joshi, Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena and other dignitaries were also present. During the opening of the center, General said that though the center is working at divisional level, it will have all the facilities one would expect of a PSK. Now we are making efforts to open such centers in all the districts so that people do not have to go out of their districts, for the sheer purpose of obtaining a passport.
