Udaipur: In a recent meeting of Lake Development Authority, officials were given instructions to make lakes of Udaipur pollution-free.
The meeting was conducted under the guidance of district collector Rohit Gupta. The agenda of the meeting was to streamline the solutions for making the lakes of the district clean and pollution-free.
During the meet, the department was ordered to strictly supervise the establishments running hotels, restaurants and other business activities over the banks of the lakes. Actions will be taken at every level to prevent wastes and contaminated water coming out of these establishments from causing pollution.
Some new policies shall also be made to streamline the monitoring of solid waste of these enterprises. Apart from that, operational boats that are being run on the lakes too will see some improvements to help the purpose. Energy sources like CNG, Solar or LPG are proposed to be used over more conventional and pollution-prone energy sources like diesel fuel.
