Khatu Shyam Ji Falgun Mela 2018

The biggest day for the worshippers of Shyam Baba is Shyam Kumbha which is celebrated with fervor at Khatu Dham. This Shyam Kumbha is also known as the colorful Falgun Mela. This fair will be filled from February 17 to February 27, 2018. Like every time, lakhs of Shyam devotees will sail for Shyam Baba by tracing this time. Khatu Shyam Mandir Committee will be active for the convenience of devotees and people.

The main fair is for Falgun Shukla Ekadashi which will be held on 26 February (Monday). Like every year, the decisions will be the same for traffic, bhandare and DJ.

The main fair is of 5 days, but seeing the crowd of devotees, now it has been done for 10 days since few years. From Ringas to the Khatu, the devotees travel to the place and take a 19 km journey enchanting Baba’s name with the mark in hand.

What is the main day of the Falgun Fair?

Falgun Shukla Ekadashi is the main day of the month of Falgun when the body of Baba was out of the Shyam Kund. Shyam Baba's biggest major day is also given to Gyaras.

Why do Shyam devotees raise marks?

Baba Shyam gave his charity to Lord Krishna for his religion. It was a great sacrifice in history. Then Krishna gave him the boon of being worshiped in Kali Yuga. Today, whatever marks that Shyam Baba inspires are for his sacrifice. The mark is that of Shyam Baba's victory that he also won the heart of all by giving a sacrifice. If he did not give up, he would have been with Kauravas, and then it would have been the victory of Kauravas.

Five to six hours in sight, 10 km distance

The Khatu Shyam Mandir Committee has made wooden walkways on both sides to facilitate the crowd of lakhs of devotees. Now, after crossing 10 km from these routes, devotees will take five to six hours time, but they will be convenient. The entire temple and the Darshan route are under the supervision of the cctv camera. This path will be shortened when the crowd of the devotees is reduced and the devotee will be able to see Baba in 2 or 3 hours.

12 days is fair this time

This time Khatu Shyam ji's fair will be filled up for 12 days. Last year it was filled for ten days but due to the increase in the crowd of Shyam devotees every year this time it will be filled more than two days. This fair will start from 17 Feb to 27 Feb.

Estimation of arrival of 30 lakh pilgrims

According to the Khatu Shyam ji temple committee, there are around 3 million devotees from abroad can come to the Falgun fair in these 12 days. Most devotees will come to Falgun Ekadashi which is coming this time on 26th Feb.
