Jalore District in Rajasthan is surrounded by Barmer district on the northwest, by Pali district on the northeast, by Sirohi District on the southeast and on the southwest by Banaskantha District of Gujarat state. This plain region is occupied by few thickly wooded hills in the north and some small hills in the centre. The eastern tract of the district is rocky while the western portion is a rough plain with sand dunes and sand ridges. The highest peak of the district is Sundha, with the length of 3252 feets, which is situated in Bhinmal Tehsil's South Eastern part of Jaswantpur. Main river is Luni River with flows with its tributaries like Sukri, Jawai, Sagi, Khari and Bandi. All these rivers are seasonal. Indian Wild Ass, also known as Baluchi Wild Ass, is a rare species which is mostly found in Rann of Kutch, Gujarat but now they are increasing in numbers and extending into the bordering villages in Jalore district. In Khejariali and its neighbouring areas, Rabaris live in the jungles with chinkaras, common fox, hyenas, desert cat, wolf, etc.
