The GRAM 2017 Meet (Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet) in Udaipur which is all set to be carried out from 7th to 9th November has begun in the city and the venue can be seen filled with attendants. The farmers have already reached the event in large numbers and are quite excited about the program.
The aim of this agricultural meet is to ensure that the incomes of the farmers can be doubled by the year 2022. Besides, it also focuses on empowering the families of farmers residing in the tribal areas. The gathering will witness specialists from countries like Argentina, Peru, Israel, Uzbekistan, and so on who will be disseminating technical information to the farmers.
On one hand, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Rajasthan, Dr. Prabhulal Saini will be addressing the farmers; various other dignitaries like Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Uzbekistan Ambassador H.E. Farhod Arziev will also be speaking at the event. Most importantly, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje will also be present at Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet Udaipur as the Chief Guest of the meet.
Apart from the brochures, the farmers attending the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet will also be given knowledge papers as well as books concerning important topics like agri value chain, fishing, and forest produce. For all three days, the meet will witness an arrangement of ‘Jajam Baithaks’ whereby farmers will be able to clear their doubts regarding agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry.
Furthermore, in order to accelerate the development of sustainable agriculture and allied activities, live presentations will be held showcasing innovative methods and best agricultural practices.
