Jaipur: As per the information revealed by the official sources Rajasthan has distributed interest free crop loan of rupees 53021.75 crore to the farmers from the year 2013 to 2017, setting the record for the highest interest free crop loan distributed in the country. For the year 2017-18, as well, the government is distributing interest free crop loan amounting to Rs. 15 thousand crore.
Now, taking a step further in the welfare of farmers, the state government is going to launch its much awaited Mukhyamantri Beej Swavalamban Yojana. It is announced that the pilot program of the scheme is all set to run in the districts of Kota, Udaipur and Bhilwara.
A review meeting for the implementation of the scheme was conducted in the direction of Agriculture Minister Prabhalal Saini on Friday. He met with the officials of Agriculture, Horticulture and Seed Corporation and instructed the officials on the availability of qualitative seeds of Kharif crops and fertilizers in accordance with the demand in the division.
