European Union Film Festival 2018 Schedule

The European Union Film Festival that premiered in New Delhi on 18th June is coming to Jaipur soon. The Pink City’s Jawahar Kala Kendra will be hosting the event from August 1 to August 5. It will have 24 cinematic wonders presented by 23 member states of the European Union.

These creations will be putting forth unusual and moving stories from Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal, and Slovakia. Some of the artists will also be interacting with the audience and students.

The films to be screened at the festival include The Magic of Children, Walk With Me, The Man Who Looks Like Me, When You Wake Up, and so on. These films will be showcased with English subtitles and will be allowed for individuals above 18 years of age. There is no entry fee but seating arrangement will be done on ‘first come first serve’ basis.

This film festival in Jaipur is being organized by the Delegation of European Union and embassies of EU Member States in partnership with Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, and Jawahar Kala Kendra.

Here’s the schedule of the European Union Film Festival:

  • 1st August: Magic of Children (Austria), Cowboys (Croatia), Boy on the Bridge (Cyprus)
  • 2nd August: Labyrinthus (Belgium), Tiger Theory (Czech Republic), Kills on Wheels (Hungary)
  • 3rd August: Little Harbour (Slovakia), Walk With Me (Denmark), The Man Who Looks Like Me (Estonia)
  • 4th August: Mother Knows Best (Portugal), 9 Months Stretch (France), Unexpected Journey (Finland)
  • 5th August: Letter for the King (The Netherlands), The Lesson (Latvia), When You Wake Up (Lithuania)

Venue: Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur, Rajasthan

Dates: 1st August to 5th August

Timings: 11 am, 3 pm, 6 pm
