Jaipur: The convocation parade of the 66th female constable batch was held at Rajasthan Police Academy campus in Jaipur on Tuesday.
Many dignitaries attended the parade including CM Vasundhara Raje, Director General of Police Manoj Bhatt, Director of Rajasthan Police Academy Rajiv Dasot, Mayor Ashok Lahoti, District Head Mulchand Meena, Tonk MLA Ajit Mehta, and state Home Minister Gulab Chand Katariya.
The parade was succeeded by a special award ceremony wherein trainee constable Sunwa Kanwar was honored as the best all-rounder of the batch. Another trainee constable Ms. Mukesh was awarded for the best firing. The award of the best outdoor trainee was given to Mrs Reenu Jat. While addressing the ceremony CM appreciated the various skill demonstrations showed by the parade.
While appreciating the important role of women police personnel in maintaining law and order in the state, she also commented that due to the increasing number of women police personnel, the state police force is becoming visibly more humane and sensitive.
During the ceremony it was also stated that many measures are being taken to provide the effective training to police personnel. For the purpose, cyber and economic crimes are being included in the new courses training courses along with improvements in the behavior of policemen. Furthermore, training in child protection, social security and gender budgeting is also being provided at Police Academy in collaboration with UNICEF.
