The controversy engulfing Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati, starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, isn't going to end anytime soon. The film has faced fire from various quarters, as fringe Rajput groups have risen up in protest and are trying to ban the film in all states.Currently, the film has been banned in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

The film has now been delayed indefinitely from its release on December 1. The groups have also issued death threats against the Padmavati team.

The Rajput groups are leaving no stone unturned to demonstrate their pride and history. And so, they plan to make some changes in Chittorgarh now.

Members of the Rajput community had earlier demanded that the Padmini Mahal should be converted into a huge temple. And now, their demand of changing certain parts of the light and sound show that has been going on in Chittorgarh for the last nine years might be fulfilled.

The show will no longer have the narration that Alauddin Khilji, a Turkish invader, saw Rani Padmavati through a mirror, a claim that the Karni Sena disputes vehemently. The outfit has positioned itself as fighting for the pride of the Rajput community and has been at the forefront of the protests against Padmavati.

"New light and show is being created at a cost of Rupees 5.50 crores which will be shown in place of the old light and sound show. Talks are going on with the Government and now, history will be rectified," Chittorgarh's BJP MP, C P Joshi, mentioned.

For the time being, police personnel have been providing security at the venue for the light and sound show. The guide association has been given severe instructions. At the light and sound show at the Kumbha fort in Chittorgarh, the police have been stationed. The Archaelogicial Survey of India will also remove the narrative to the effect that Allaudin Khilji saw Rani Padmavati in the mirror from outside the Padmini Mahal.

The guide association has maintained that legal action will be taken against any guide who mentions the mirror to the tourists and if he gets beaten up by the Karni Sena, then guide association will not be responsible for it.
