Alwar: A large scale aviary is being constructed in Alwar that will provide shelter, and clinical facilities for the birds.
The project is run by an NGO named Shri Digambar Jain Sudhasagar Gaushala and is funded by the public of the city. Mr. Bacchu Singh Jain, a trustee of the committee informed that the construction work will get finished as soon as three months and then the sanctuary will begin its operations.
The project was launched last year in November and already the funds of ₹ 10 lakhs have been put to use. Further funds of ₹ 25 lakhs shall also be called using which construction work of the hospital will be completed. The lower floors of the building will hold the hospital and shelter place for sick birds whereas on the upper floors, arrangements will be made for food and water for birds. On the top floor eleven towers too shall be erected where around 1500 birds will get night shelter. And to add an artistic charm to the place it will also be installed a fountain or bird bath.
