Jaipur: State Government’s initiative, Annapurna Rasoi scheme will now be available in all the districts of Rajasthan. Along with that, Deepshikha Kala Sansthan, a society registered under the Rajasthan Societies Registration Act, will now run University. Both these statements were released after the assembly that was held on Tuesday.
Annapurna Rasoi scheme is an initiative of state government under which healthy food is made available in the twelve districts of the city. Under the scheme, 80 Mobile Annapurna Kitchens are running across the length of the 12 cities offering breakfast at ₹ 5 and meals for ₹ 8.
To make the scheme more effective, amendment is made in the Rajasthan Municipalities Bill, 2017. As per the new provision, the scheme will now cover all the district of Rajasthan. It is estimated that within 6 months all the cities of state will have mobile Annapurna Kitchens running on their roads.
Apart from that, another Act was also passed in the assembly- the University of Technology, Jaipur Bill 2017. As per the Bill, a society registered under Rajasthan Societies Registration Act- Deepshikha Kala Sansthan is now allowed to run university. The university will be self-financed and no financial assistance shall be given to the institute from the State Government.
