Udaipur: Leading Indian travel magazine ‘Outlook Traveller’ labeled Udaipur as India’s best tourism spot.
Outlook Traveller has recently conducted an online survey where travelers voted for their favorite tourist destination in India wherein Udaipur won the tag with maximum votes. In the same list, Rajasthan also topped as the best state for tourism.
Udaipur is popularly known as the Lake City and the Venice of the East making it clear that the city is rich both in its heritage and natural beauty. Not to forget, some of the best hotels on the planet, too, are housed by the city.
The charm of Udaipur has always been high among tourists but the recent development under the smart city plan is believed to multiply this charm multifold. Already steps are being taken to beautify the lakes of the lake city.
Sumita Saroch, Director of Tourism Department of the district also said that the world class amenities are also among the major factors that attract not only domestic but international tourists to the city.
