Bharatiya Janata Party Vice-President Avinash Rai Khanna, in charge of party affairs in the state, said that the name of the new state party chief could not be announced till now since the party leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah, was preoccupied with the Karnataka Assembly elections.
As for Shah's impending visit to Jaipur, Khanna said that the dates are yet to be finalized.
Rajasthan Assembly elections are slated to be held this year.
