Jaipurites share selfies at Dravyavati River to celebrate the rejuvenation

A selfie contest titled ‘Your chance to become a celebrity’ was organized on the banks of Dravyavati river by Tata projects, who is working towards the rejuvenation of the Dravyavati river in Jaipur.

Erstwhile CM Vasundhara Raje’s dream project- Dravyavati rejuvenation (2014) is being celebrated among Jaipurites. A selfie contest titled ‘Your chance to become a celebrity’ was organized on the banks of Dravyavati river by Tata projects, who is working towards the rejuvenation of the Dravyavati river in Jaipur.

The contest which involved clicking a selfie at the Dravyavati River and posting on Facebook using #MyDravyavatiMoments, received an overwhelming participation from people across the city and tourists as well.  The tech-savvy citizens were proud to show off the parks and the rejuvenated river. 25 out of 100 participants were chosen as winners who were given gift vouchers.

The Rs 1676Cr project- 2014 is a visionary of erstwhile CM Raje. It is a 47.5 km riverfront, that had degenerated into an untreated sewage Nala, which was restored as a perennial river, fed by treated clean water.

 This project aims to reduce pollution, treat 170 million liters of sewerage a day, create green space, social spaces, cycle and jogging tracks along its banks and transform Jaipur into a clean smart city.
