Nahargarh Zoological Park to begin Lion Safari

Another safari is being developed in Rajasthan for wildlife enthusiasts. After tigers and leopards, tourists coming to the state will be able to witness the king of the jungle. The safari is expected to open in April next year. Three new cubs- one female Tara and two males, Tripura and Tejas were born recently in the biological park. Tigress Tejika gave birth to them. The tigress and her cubs will be shifted to that area of the park which is already inhabited by one female and male lion. Suhasini and Siddharth respectively. Another pair of lions will be brought to the Nahargarh Biological Park from Jodhpur Zoo.
The work is in progress and will be finished by the end of February. The purpose of the safari is to promote eco-tourism, conserve wildlife, facilitate breeding of lions as well as to provide nature education to visitors. The park is just 12 kilometers from Jaipur and is located on Jaipur-Delhi highway.
