Bundi
Bundi is a small, less known version of Jodhpur city located at the steep of a large hill with a striking lake in the center. The city boasts some brilliant blue houses, glorious ancient forts, havelis, temples and wonderful palaces. The prime attraction in Bundi is Taragarh Fort which was constructed in the 14th century. The fort houses a large battlement, a cannon and large reservoir carved out of a single piece of rock.
Lakshman Sagar
Lakshman Sagar was built in the late 19th century by Lakshman Singh Ji, the then Thakur of Raipur. It is located 10 kilometers away from NH-10 on road from Jodhpur to Pali. It is surrounded by magnificent rugged desert landscapes. Lakshman Sagar resort has 12 private cottages designed to represent the local architectural traditions. The best thing is that each cottage has its own splash pool.
Mihir Garh
Mihir Garh, also known as The Fort of the Sun, was built in 2009. It represents a mingling of Rajasthani heritage and modernity. Constructed of clay and other local materials, it stands tall in the surroundings of the golden landscape. Mihir Garh has the finest horse riding program in the country. Even the name of the suites, Alishan and Shandaar, are from the fine Marwari Stallions from the Rohet Stables. This beautiful place is perfect for getting the Royal feel.
