Magnetic Fields lit up Rajasthan last year with an epic show that got the crowd going to whole new levels! The festival performances were so memorable that Red Bull has even created a radio link, allowing us to relive our favourite sets once again! Now, to everyone’s delight, Magnetic Fields will take Rajasthan by storm from the 15-17 December, 2017.
Started in 2013, Magnetic Fields is held in the majestic setting of the 17-century palace Alsisar Mahal at Jhunjhunu offering a unique marriage of contemporary culture with Rajasthani heritage and hospitality. From pure electronica to grungy pop-rock, the multi-genre festival has hosted some of the biggest international and Indian artistes in the past. A visitor can expect the freshest Indian sounds accompanied by some of the most exciting underground international stars alongside a cultural programme of local legends. Lazing on the lawns, hunting for buried treasure, secret parties, dancing on the rooftop, flying kites at sunrise and watching the desert come to life in a dazzling haze of mist and sunlight are all complementary to the event.
Magnetic Fields was a playground for the young at heart, within a luxurious and indulgent backdrop. Glimpses of the rich local culture delicately weaved in between the contemporary programming. Two stages that showcased the country’s best and most forward thinking music alongside some of the worlds finest underground stars – attracting an audience of adventurous, young and open minded urbanites.
Magnetic Fields is a festival that absorbs and unites participants, crew, artists and guests. It is an event to showcase to the rest of the world demonstrating India’s vibrant and forward thinking creative community. All the guest artists fell in love with the music, the audience, the space, the concept & most importantly contemporary and ancient India nestled side by side in our little oasis of magic in the heart of the Rajasthani desert.
